The Ann Terwilliger McLaren Scholarship is open to members of the Beta Phi chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Pennsylvania State University. Students seeking a bachelor's degree are encouraged to apply. If no applicants meet the criteria collegian or alumnae member of the Beta Phi chapter seeking a graduate degree. If no collegian or alumnae members of the Beta Phi chapter apply, the award is available to any undergraduate or graduate Kappa Alpha Theta member.
