The AQHA Region 1 Quarter Horse Youth Scholarship provides financial assistance to the American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) or the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) member residents of region one which includes Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Graduating high school seniors seeking an associate or bachelor's degree full-time are welcome to apply. Students must have participated in their regions' AQHA or AQHYA for at least one year.

  • Member of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) OR, - American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA)
  • Minimum 2.50 GPA
  • Resident of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, U.S., or British Columbia, Canada
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Fulltime student
  • Participation in equestrian sports or leadership
