Arthur C. Parker Scholarship provides financial assistance to Native American students and professionals interested in additional training in archaeological methods.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors, college undergraduates, graduate students, and personnel of tribal or other Native cultural preservation programs.
  • Applicants must be Native people from anywhere in the Americas, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and indigenous Pacific Islanders.
  • They must be interested in attending a training program in archaeological methods offered by an accredited college or university, including fieldwork, analytical techniques, and curation.
  • Individuals may apply themselves, or they may be nominated by a high school teacher, current professor, or cultural preservation program supervisor.
  • Along with the application, they must submit a 2page personal statement describing why they are interested in their proposed program and in archaeology, and the contributions they hope to make to the future of archaeology.
