ASHRAE High School Senior Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who are entering college to work on a bachelor's degree in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R).

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors who are entering a program in engineering, pre-engineering, or engineering technology at an institution that 1) hosts a student branch of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); 2) is ABET-accredited or accredited by the Partnership for Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Accreditation (PAHRA); or 3) is accredited by an equivalent agency outside the United States.
  • Applicants must be planning to work on a bachelor's degree in a course of study that has traditionally been preparatory for the profession of HVAC&R. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and a standing in the top 30% of their class.
  • Selection is based on potential service to the HVAC&R profession, financial need, leadership ability, recommendations from instructors, and work ethics.
