ASHRAE Region I Setty Family Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate architectural and mechanical engineering students at schools in selected states who are interested in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R).

Requirements
  • This program is open to undergraduate architectural and mechanical engineering students working on a degree at a college or university in Region I of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE): Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Vermont and who graduated from a high school in the region.
  • Applicants must be enrolled full time in a course of study that has traditionally been preparatory for the profession of HVAC&R and that is either ABETaccredited or at a school that has a student ASHRAE chapter.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and a standing in the top 30% of their class.
  • Selection is based on potential service to the HVAC&R profession, financial need, leadership ability, recommendations from instructors, and work ethics.
