ASHRAE Region VIII Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate engineering students at schools in selected areas who are interested in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R).

Requirements
  • This program is open to undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students working on a degree at a college 1) in Region VIII of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE): Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, or Texas that is ABET-accredited or that has a student ASHRAE chapter; or 2) a program in Mexico accredited by the Consejo de Accreditaci<A3>on de la Ensenanza de la Ingenieria (CACEI).
  • Applicants must be enrolled full time in a course of study that traditionally has been preparatory for the profession of HVAC&R. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and a standing in the top 30% of their class.
  • Selection is based on potential service to the HVAC&R profession, financial need, leadership ability, recommendations from instructors, and work ethics.
