The Assistance League of Long Beach - UDCP Scholarship supports high-performing education students at California State University - Long Beach who demonstrate financial need. Students enrolled in the Urban Dual Credential Program (UDCP) or the combined Integrated Teacher Education Program and Urban Dual Credential Program (ITEP UDCP) who intend to teach are eligible to apply. Students must be in the credential year of their program.

Requirements

Minimum 3.00 GPA

Resident of the U.S.

Attending California State University Long Beach

College sophomore, junior, or senior studying in their credential year

Seeking a professional certification or bachelor's degree

Studying in the Urban Dual Credential Program (UDCP) or the combined Integrated Teacher Education Program and Urban Dual Credential Program (ITEP UDCP)

Intend to teach in both the elementary general education classroom and the elementarymiddle school education setting

Exhibit an ability to overcome hardship, an intention to support others' learning, and a commitment to personal growth

Demonstrate financial need
