Baltimore Chapter ASHRAE College Scholarship provides financial assistance to students in the Baltimore area working on a bachelor's degree in a field of interest to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Requirements

This program is open to students working on a bachelor's degree at colleges and universities in the Baltimore area.

Applicants must submit a 500word essay on their career goals and how those goals relate to the field of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning.

Selection is based on the following criteria, in order of importance: 1) work in an ASHRAE field of training; 2) enrollment in an accredited course at a recognized college (or program preapproved by ASHRAE board); 3) matriculation for a degree in an ASHRAE-related engineering field; 4) residence in, or moving to, the Baltimore ASHRAE chapter area; 5) work in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) field; 6) child of a Baltimore chapter member, living or deceased; 7) high scholastic standing or average from previous year; 8) financial need; and 9) veteran with an honorable discharge or member of U.S. armed services.
