About the Scholarship

The Banatao Family Filipino American Education Scholarship awards need- and merit-based scholarships to graduating seniors from designated California counties. Students who are at least 50% Filipino and pursuing a degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, environmental or physical science are welcome to apply. Those pursuing health careers are not eligible for this scholarship.

  • Filipino heritage (at least 50%)
  • Resident of Alameda, Contra Costa, Los Angeles, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Orange, Sacramento, San Benito, San Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, or Yolo counties in California
  • Graduating high school senior
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, environmental science, mathematics, or physical science, as a fulltime student
