The Barry L. Carey, M.D. Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors from Catholic, private, home, or public schools in the Diocese of Venice in Florida. First-generation college students who participate in extracurricular activities and demonstrate strong academic achievement are encouraged to apply.

Member of the Catholic Church

Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree

Participation in church activities, community service, extracurricular activities, or work

Firstgeneration college student Members or relatives of Catholic Community Foundation staff, Board members, the Office of Catholic Schools, the Scholarship Committee, or Barry L. Carey are not eligible to apply.
