The BBB Ethical Athlete Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school students in Arizona who have participated in athletics and demonstrated outstanding awareness of ethical concerns.

Requirements
  • Coaches, teachers, teammates, relatives, and friends of high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors at high schools in Arizona may nominate students for these awards. High school athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 or higher.
  • Nominees must have participated in sports sanctioned by the AIA. Nominations must demonstrate how the studentathlete overcame a challenging ethical dilemma and highlight the student-athlete's ethical agenda and willingness to do the right thing, even in difficult situations.
  • Ethical Athletes are chosen after the closing of each period on the basis of the information in the nomination.
  • Ethical Champions are chosen at the end of the year as the most outstanding Ethical Athletes.
