The Blackman Family Scholarship supports graduates of eligible public high schools in Portland and surrounding Oregon communities as they continue their postsecondary education. First-generation college students who plan to enroll at least part time at a two- or four-year college or university in the United States are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • GPA between 2.00 - 2.40
  • Resident of Oregon
  • Graduates of Portland Public High Schools, North Clackamas High School, David Douglas High School, Centennial High School, or GED and homeschooled graduates from Clackamas, Damascus, Gresham, Happy Valley, Johnson City, Milwaukie, or Portland
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree full or parttime
  • U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
  • Firstgeneration college student
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students who are firstgeneration immigrants to the United States. Additional preference is given to students taking part in extracurricular activities.
