Burr Betts Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of clubs affiliated with the Arabian Horse Association's Region 8 who are attending or planning to attend college or graduate school in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of El Paso, Texas, and the states of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and New Mexico (Arabian Horse Association Region 8) who are members of affiliated Arabian horse clubs.
  • Applicants must be graduating high school seniors, continuing undergraduate or graduate students, or students enrolled or continuing at a trade school.
  • They must have completed at least 8 hours of volunteer service to Region 8, the affiliated club, or another equine organization in the year before application.
