Requirements
  • This program is open to members, spouses, dependent children, and dependent grandchildren of members of CSEA and its affiliated organizations, the Association of California State Supervisors (ACSS), California State University Employees Union (CSUEU), Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1000, United Automobile Workers (UAW) Local 2350, and California State Retirees).
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll in a scholastic or vocational course of study at an institution of higher education in any state.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Preference is given to high school seniors, but current college students are also considered.
  • Selection is based on a 500word essay on personal goals and how this scholarship will benefit them and their goals, transcripts, 2 letters of recommendation, and a summary of any honors received, participation in extracurricular activities, community service work, and employment experience.
