California Teachers Association Dependent Children in Honor of Del A. Weber Scholarship provides financial assistance to dependent children of members of the California Teachers Association (CTA) who are attending a continuation high school or alternative education program and interested in attending college or graduate school in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to dependent children of members of the association who are active, retired, or deceased.
  • Applicants must be graduating from a continuation high school or alternative education program and planning to enroll fulltime at a college or university in any state.
  • They must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • They must also submit a letter of recommendation from an educator (teacher, counselor, administrator, coach, professor) and another letter from a community member.
  • Selection is based on their statement (50%), school and community activities (20%), the first letter of recommendation (15%), and the second letter of recommendation (15%).
