California Teachers Association Dependent Children Scholarship provides financial assistance to dependent children of members of the California Teachers Association (CTA) who are interested in attending college or graduate school in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to dependent children of members of the association who are active, retired, or deceased.
  • Applicants may be graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, or graduate students.
  • They may be enrolled or planning to enroll fulltime at a college or graduate school in any state.
  • Their GPA should reflect high academic achievement.
  • They must also submit a letter of recommendation from an educator (teacher, counselor, administrator, coach, professor) and another letter from a community member.
  • Selection is based on their statement (50%), school and community activities (20%), the first letter of recommendation (15%), and the second letter of recommendation (15%).
  • The highest scoring applicant receives the Ralph J. Flynn Scholarship, the secondhighest the Ruthie Fagerstrom Scholarship, and the third-highest Susan B. Anthony Scholarship.
