Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors in California who plan to attend a branch of the University of California, a branch of the California State University system, or a community college in the state.
  • Applicants must have a parent or legal guardian who was employed as a vineyard worker by a winegrape grower during either or both of the 2 preceding seasons.
  • Applications are available in both English and Spanish.
  • Selection is based on that essay, demonstrated academic ability, community involvement and leadership, work history, determination to succeed, and financial need.
  • Recipients must enroll in 12 college units each semester while receiving scholarship money.
