Requirements
  • This program is open to college students who have sickle cell disease and live or attend school in the tri-state area.
  • Applicants must submit a 250word essay on how sickle cell disease has affected their life and education, their educational goals, how they expect to achieve those and a person in their lives who has been instrumental to help them persevere.
  • They must also commit to at least 5 hours of service to an activity of the sponsor during the year of their award.
