Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of California at 2- and 4-year colleges and universities in the state who are currently enrolled in at least 6 credits and are majoring or planning to major in a field related to horticulture (e.g., agribusiness, viticulture, pomology).
  • Applicants must submit essays on their educational objectives and their occupational goals as they relate to horticulture.
  • Selection is based on those essays, transcripts, high school and college activities related to horticulture, work experience, community activities related to horticulture, and 2 letters of reference.
  • Financial need is not considered.
