Captain Sean P. Grimes Physician Assistant Educational Scholarship Award provides financial assistance to current and former Army personnel interested in attending a college or university to become a physician assistant.

Requirements

This program is open to Army personnel who are currently on active duty, in the Reserves or National Guard, or veterans with any MOS and in pay grades E-5 through O-4.

Applicants must be interested in attending an accredited college or university in order to either 1) gain initial training as a physician assistant; or 2) if already a physician assistant, work on a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree.

They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be able to demonstrate financial need.

Selection is based on academic record, community and professional activities, future goals as a physician assistant, and financial need.
