About the Scholarship

The Carl Hill Memorial Scholarship program recognizes residents of Delaware or an adjacent county in Maryland, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania. Students who are attending the University of Delaware's College of Business and Economics and seeking a bachelor's degree related to the financial services industry **or** seeking a professional certification at the American College of Financial Services are welcome to apply. Applicants who volunteer at a public charity; are pursuing a designation as a CFP, ChFC, ChSNC, FSCP, RICP, or WMCP; or are seeking a degree in accounting or financial planning and wealth management receive special consideration.

Requirements
  • Resident of Delaware or an adjacent county in Maryland, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania

  • Studying financerelated fields
  • Have less than 5 years of experience in the financial services industry (nonadministrative capacity)
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Proven academic achievement Preference is given to students who volunteer at a public charity, are pursuing a designation as a CFP, ChFC, ChSNC, FSCP, RICP, or WMCP, or are seeking a degree in accounting or financial planning and wealth management.
