Carol Hayes Torio Memorial Dietetic Technician Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of California who are members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and are interested in preparing for a career as a dietetic technician.

Requirements

This program is open to California residents who are 1) AND members and entering at least the second year of an accredited Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) program in any state; or 2) a DTR entering a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), an accredited Coordinated Program (CP), or an accredited graduate program in any state.

Selection is based on that letter (15%), academic ability (25%), work or volunteer experience (15%), letters of recommendation (15%), extracurricular activities (5%), and financial need (25%).

U.S. citizenship is required.
