The Carrie B. Hines Endowment Scholarship is available to graduating seniors who have participated in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saginaw County, Michigan. Minority students who have volunteered at a Veteran's Health Administration hospital or clinic are encouraged to apply. Recipients are chosen for their commitment to service and their demonstration of financial need.

Requirements
  • Participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saginaw County, Michigan for two years
  • Minimum 2.00 GPA
  • High school senior attending school in Saginaw County, Michigan
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Fulltime student
  • Planning to attend a college or university in Michigan **OR** at the University of Maryland at Baltimore
  • Historically underserved population
  • Work experience and participation in community/ school activities
  • Volunteer at a Veteran's Health Administration hospital or clinic (minimum 20 hours)
  • Demonstrate financial need In the event that students do not meet all criteria, preference is given to graduating seniors who have a minimum 2.5 GPA and attend Arthur Hill, Bridgeport, Carrollton, Heritage, or Saginaw high schools in Michigan.
