CCDC-JACL Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who are affiliated with chapters of the Central California District Council (CCDC) of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL).

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in central California who plan to enroll at a college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must be members or children of members of the CCDC of the JACL. Along with their application, they must submit transcripts and a 2page personal statement on how misleading language led to Japanese American incarceration during World War II and how more accurate and positive language can improve dialogue in their school or community.
