Central Coast Section Scholar-Athlete Scholarship provides financial assistance to student-athletes in the Central Coast Section of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) who demonstrate academic achievement, athletic participation, and service to the community and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements

To be eligible for consideration, nominees must be enrolled as a high school senior and graduating from a Central Coast Section member high school, have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher, have participated in a varsity sport for at least 2 years, score at least 1000 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT, be able to verify a record of positive athletic and non-athletic citizenship, and be nominated by their school.

They must also submit a 1page essay on an important memory in their sport that was not a moment of victory, what they have learned from that experience, and what made it memorable.

Females and males compete separately.

Each of the 9 leagues in the section select a male and female nominee for the Scholar Athlete of the Year.
