Central Texas Section Water Environment Association of Texas Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Central Texas Section of the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) who are interested in studying a relevant field in college.

Requirements
  • This program is open to WEAT members and their families who live or attend school in counties served by the Central Texas Section (Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gillespie, Hays, Lampasas, Llano, Travis, and Williamson).
  • Preference is given to applicants who can meet 1 or more of the following qualifications: 1) have been WEAT members or their parents have been members for more than 1 year (although those with less than 1 year of membership are also eligible); 2) attending a 4year college or university (although those attending a community college are also eligible); 3) majoring in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, environmental law, environmental sciences, management, or public administration (although not all other degree programs are excluded); 4) have a high GPA; 5) have demonstrated special accomplishments, achievements, or participation in community service activities; 6) have shown leadership abilities in extracurricular activities; or 7) can demonstrate financial need.
