Chapter 56 Fort Wayne Scholarship provides financial assistance to students interested in working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering in Indiana.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors and students currently enrolled at colleges and universities in Indiana who have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Applicants must be working on an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in the following fields: manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering; engineering technology; or industrial technology.
  • Preference is given in the following order: 1) children and grandchildren of current members of Fort Wayne Chapter 56 of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME); 2) student members of chapters sponsored by SME Chapter 56; 3) applicants who reside within Indiana; and 4) residents of other states planning to attend a college or university in Indiana.
  • Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
  • U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status, or student visa is required.
