Requirements
  • This program is open to entering freshmen and continuing undergraduates at accredited colleges and universities in New Mexico.
  • Applicants must be working on or planning to work on a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Preference is given in the following order: first, children and grandchildren of current members of Albuquerque Chapter 93 of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME); second, SME student members at New Mexico universities; third, applicants who reside within New Mexico; and fourth, students planning to attend an engineering college or university in New Mexico.
  • Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
  • U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status, or student visa is required.
