The Charles Homer Barton Memorial Scholarship is open to children of active and retired police officers in Fairfax and Loudoun counties, Virginia. Applicants should be seeking an associate or bachelor's degree. Students able to demonstrate academic achievement and community service are welcome to apply. Children of police officers killed in the line of duty receive primary consideration.

  • Child of an active or retired police officer or sheriff's deputy employed by the Fairfax County Police Department, the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, or the Leesburg, Middleburg, or Purcellville police departments
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrate academic achievement
  • Participate in community service Priority is given to a child of a police officer killed in the line of duty.
