Charles R. Kendall Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Hawaii Government Employees Association (HGEA) and their dependents who are interested in attending a college or university in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to HGEA members and their dependents (ages 23 years or younger) who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at a 4-year college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must submit a personal letter that explains what HGEA has meant to their family, how they and/or their family have been involved with HGEA, what they are seeking a scholarship and the extracurricular activities in which they have been involved.
  • Selection is based on that letter (20%), financial need (30%), academic achievement (40%), and recommendations (10%).
