Requirements
  • Eligible for this support are firefighters, ambulance personnel, and rescue squad members who have enrolled as full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited institution of higher education in Maryland in a degree or certificate program for fire service technology, emergency medical technology, or fire service management.
  • Applicants must have received at least a grade of "C" in any course required for completion of their program.
  • They must be serving a Maryland community while they are taking college courses.
  • Recipients must continue to serve a Maryland community for an additional year following completion of their degree.
