About the Scholarship

The Chemp Engineering Scholarship was created to support Tarrant County College students seeking careers in engineering. Students seeking an Associate of Applied Science degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering with an intent to pursue a bachelor's degree are welcome to apply. Competitive applicants will have completed a minimum of 18 credit hours before award.

  • Minimum 3.00 GPA
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • Attending Tarrant County College Northeast Campus, Tarrant County College - Northwest Campus, Tarrant County College - South Campus, Tarrant County College - Southeast Campus, or Tarrant County College - Trinity River Campus
  • Community college student
  • High school graduate or GED recipient
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Studying in electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering
  • Completed a minimum of 18 credit hours before the award period **and**
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours during the award period
