The Cheryl Shearer Scholarship is awarded to high school graduates or GED recipients from Ventura County in California. Students pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree to become a teacher in English, math, or science are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to students who have returned to higher education after a gap of at least two years.
