Chicago Chapter Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals Environmental Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of Illinois who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a field related to the environment at designated universities in the Chicago area.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of Illinois currently enrolled full or part-time as juniors, seniors, or graduate students at DePaul University, Illinois Institute of Technology, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Northern Illinois University, or North Central College.

Applicants must be preparing for a career in an environmental field with a major in, but not limited to, hazardous materials technologies, environmental engineering, civil engineering with an environmental emphasis, physical or natural sciences with an environmental emphasis, or energy conservation or management.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Selection is based on academic achievement, honors, extracurricular activities, volunteer activities, and/or leadership related to the environment.
