Requirements

This program is open to residents of the Taconic Hills Central School District in Columbia County, New York who are interested in attending a college, university, vocational school, or accredited professional training institute.

Applicants must be 1) graduating high school seniors whose grandparents, parents, or siblings are serving or have served honorably in the armed forces; or 2) veterans honorably discharged from the armed forces.

Selection is based on demonstrated ability to excel in a particular area of interest (academic, the arts, athletic, or vocational); the significance of the award to the student; perseverance and fortitude in dealing with issues in their lives while making a contribution to the community; and financial need.
