About the Scholarship

The Community College High Hopes Program is available to graduating seniors and recent graduates of Berkeley High School or Berkeley Technology Academy in California. Graduates who are attending or planning to attend Berkeley City College with the goal of transferring to a 4-year college or university are welcome to apply. Students who can demonstrate financial need, are first-generation college students, or identify as part of a group historically underrepresented on college campuses receive special consideration.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Graduating senior at Berkeley High School or Berkeley Technology Academy or graduated from those schools within the past three years
  • Attending or planning to attend Berkeley City College as a fulltime student with the goal of transferring to a 4-year college or university
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree Preference is given to students who can demonstrate financial need, are firstgeneration college students, or identify as part of a group historically underrepresented on college campuses.
