Connecticut Junior Accounting Scholarship provides financial assistance to student members of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) who are entering their junior year.

Requirements

This program is open to student CTCPA members who are currently enrolled as full-time sophomores at a 2- or 4-year college or university and planning to enter their junior year.

Applicants must be residents of Connecticut and/or attending or transferring to an accredited 4year college or university in that state.

They must have completed at least 6 units of accounting coursework with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be planning to obtain a bachelor's degree in accounting and pursue C.P.A. licensure.

Selection is based on academic ability, leadership and service, a resume, an essay on an assigned topic, an overall presentation of self, and demonstrating a commitment to the accounting profession.

U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
