The Craig D. Newnan Memorial Scholarship is for graduates of Lanai High School in Lanai City, Hawai'i. Special consideration is given to students seeking degrees in the fields of education, travel industry management, or studies related to the maritime industry and to applicants who would like to return to Lana'i to live and work.

Preference is also given to students who would return to Lana'i to live and work.
