The Daphne and Stuart Wells Public Service Scholarship is open to residents of Monterey County in California who are entering their junior year of college. Students majoring in the field of public service are encouraged to apply. Those attending California State University at Monterey Bay and those transferring from Hartnell College or Monterey Peninsula College receive special consideration.

Requirements
  • Resident of Monterey County, California
  • Entering the junior year at a college or university in California as a fulltime student
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in a public service field (education, environmental studies, health professions and related programs, marine biology/oceanography, natural resources, forestry, conservation, nursing, parks, recreation, leisure and fitness studies, public administration and social service professions, or world affairs and international issues)
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students attending California State University at Monterey Bay and those transferring from Hartnell College or Monterey Peninsula College.
