David E. Lumley Scholarship in Energy and Environmental Science provides financial assistance to undergraduates at universities in any country who are working on a degree involving energy and environmental geoscience.

Requirements
  • This program is open to undergraduate students at colleges and universities in any country whose grades are above average.
  • Applicants must be working on a degree in science or engineering with a program that involves (but is not limited to) combined majors in both energy and environmental geoscience, a major in an area of petroleum geoscienceengineering and a minor in environmental science-engineering or vice versa, course work or project work in both petroleum geophysics and environmental geophysics, or studies in those areas and an internship or summer job at petroleum geophysics and/or environmental geophysics companies or organizations.
  • Preference is given to a student who has published an abstract, article, or paper as a primary coauthor in a publication of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG).
  • Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
