The Debbie Van Cleave Scholarship seeks legally blind students who reside in the 25 county service area of the Eastern Tennessee Foundation. Residents with financial needs who are enrolled at a not-for-profit college/university or vocational, technical, or trade school or program are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Resident of Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Loudon, McMinn, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, or Washington counties in Tennessee
  • Graduating high school senior, current college student, GED recipient, or returning adult student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree as a fulltime or part-time student
  • Legally blind with a vision of 20/200 or less AFTER correction and/or visual field reduced to 20 degrees or less
