The Deloris Carter Hampton Scholarship supports minority women from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington pursuing a postsecondary education. Students who have demonstrated a history of activism and/or leadership in the LGBTQ+ community pursuing a degree in dance, education, or women's health are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington for a minimum of three months prior to the application deadline or lived within the state for at least one out of the five prior years
  • High school senior, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, medical, or law student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, bachelor's, graduate, law, medical degree, or Ph.D.
  • Studying in education, women’s health, or dance
  • LGBTQIA+, a historically underserved population female
  • Proven history of activism and/or leadership in the LGBTQ community
  • Lack of a broader LGBTQ+ community support system and demonstrated history of activism
  • Encountered additional barriers to education, including economic, racial, social, geographical, or politically disenfranchised
  • Demonstrate financial need
