The Detroit Economic Club Scholarship is offered to graduating high school seniors from the city of Detroit, Macomb, Oakland, or Wayne counties in Michigan. Students who exhibit good character and leadership skills are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to students who have overcome hardship.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3.20 GPA
  • High school senior attending school in Macomb, Oakland, or Wayne counties, Detroit, Michigan
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Fulltime student
  • Participation in community service, extracurricular activities, leadership, or work
  • Exhibit good character
  • Demonstrate financial need Employees and dependents of employees of the foundation, Board of Trustees, scholarship advisory and their dependents of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, and employees and dependents of the Detroit Economic Club are ineligible for this scholarship. Preference is given to students who have overcome hardship to achieve their personal and educational goals.
