Requirements
  • This program is open to students who are enrolled or planning to enroll full or part-time in a 2- or 4-year engineering program in welding or welding technology.
  • Applicants must be 1) residents of Michigan or the counties of Essex, ChathamKent, or Sarnia-Lambton in the province of Ontario and attending school in any state or province; or 2) residents of any state or province and attending school in Michigan or those counties in Ontario.
  • Selection is based on GPA, activities, work experience, an essay on what influenced them to study welding, and a personal statement about their ambitions, career goals, and background.
