The Disabled American Veterans Salt City Chapter #43 Scholarship is for veterans or the descendants of veterans who are either residents of or graduates of Manistee County in Michigan. Graduating seniors, non-traditional students, and current college students are eligible to apply. Applicants who are disabled through their own service or descendants of veterans who were disabled through service receive special consideration. Additional consideration is given to members of veterans organizations.

  • Resident of Manistee County, Michigan **or** graduate of a high school in Manistee County, Michigan
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree fulltime
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Exhibit academic achievement Preference may be given to applicants disabled through their own service or who are descendants of veterans who were disabled through service. Additional preference may be given to members of a veterans organization. Manistee County Community Foundation staff and their family members are not eligible to apply. Advisory committee members involved in the scholarship selection process and their immediate family members are not eligible to receive a scholarship from that fund. Donors and related parties are not eligible to receive a scholarship from funds that they established.
