Donald F. and Mildred Topp Othmer Scholarship provide financial assistance to student members of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).

Requirements
  • This program is open to AIChE student members who are undergraduates in chemical engineering.
  • Each student chapter adviser may nominate 1 student member.
  • Nominees must have completed approximately half of their degree requirements at the start of the academic year (i.e., junior standing in a 4year program or equivalent for a 5-year co-op program).
  • They must submit a 300word statement outlining their career plans and objectives in chemical engineering.
  • Selection is based on that statement, academic record, support of the nominee by the student chapter adviser, and involvement in the student chapter and other professional activities.
