Requirements
  • This program is open to JACL members who are currently enrolled at a college, university, trade school, business college, or other institution of higher learning.
  • Applicants must submit information on their involvement in JACL and a 2page essay on a topic that changes annually but relates to Japanese Americans.
  • Selection is based on that essay, academic history, JACL involvement, school activities, work history, scholastic honors, and community involvement.
  • Preference is given to graduate students and applicants who can demonstrate great financial need.
