The DREAM – Former Foster Youth Scholarship supports Oregon students with a foster care background as they continue their postsecondary education. Special consideration is given to students who qualify for the Chafee Education and Training Grant, or were adopted from foster care between the ages of 14 and 16, are former Chafee awardees now over age 23 and enrolled in a degree-seeking program, or are youth eligible for Chafee who did not receive funds before age 21.

  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree, full or parttime
  • U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students who qualify for the Chafee Education and Training Grant, or were adopted from foster care between the ages of 14 and 16, are former Chafee awardees now over age 23 and enrolled in a degreeseeking program, or are youth eligible for Chafee who did not receive funds before age 21.
