The Earline S. Rogers Student Teaching Stipend for Minorities provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students in Indiana who are interested in completing their student teaching at an eligible college or university in the state. The stipend is intended to support students from underserved backgrounds and communities. Recipients must agree in writing to apply for a teaching position at an Indiana school and, if hired, to teach in the state for at least three years. Special consideration is given to students who are currently participating in student teaching.

  • Resident of Allen, Lake, Marion, St. Joseph, or Vanderburgh counties, Indiana
  • Undergraduate or graduate student
  • Seeking a bachelor's or graduate degree
  • Studying in a student teaching or school administration program
  • Attending school in Indiana
  • U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
  • Historically underserved population Preference is given to student teaching applicants.
