The East Texas Estate Planning Council Scholarship is available to graduating seniors from a high school or homeschool in an approved East Texas county. Students pursuing a career in one of the primary disciplines engaged in the estate planning process are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Graduating senior from an East Texas high school in these counties: Anderson, Angelina, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Delta, Franklin, Freestone, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Houston, Lamar, Leon, Marion, Morris, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rains, Red River, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Upshur, Van Zandt, or Wood
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree in the U.S.
  • Studying for a degree in a field dealing with estate planning such as accounting, banking, finance, insurance finance, investments, law, or philanthropic planning
  • Planning to pursue a career in estate planning
